Someone Long Forgotten

Something long forgotten

just a hint, just a faint smell

a reminder, of something long forgotten

maybe just a color, a bright crimson red

to bring back the memories

of something long forgotten

the feeling of sand between your toes

or the faint smell of a strange perfume

or maybe the smell of dust after rain

Just enough to remind you

of someone long forgotten

This is a poem many can relate to, a universal theme. It immediately made me think of people who had been in my life. Some gone through death and some losing touch with over the years. Those colors, scents, etc. that instantly take you back in time...thanks for a thought provoking poem.
