Cultivation of knowledge is a multidimensional road.
You must view its origination from all sides,
more willingly than a single perspective.
It can be tricky to navigate and understand.
It poses inquiries, that can't be mechanically
                            answered.

A ballgame fixed upon an unclear basis.
Every sign along those highways
          carries messages with different magnitudes.
Prospects assembled, outlined formation of roadways.
          Serving as reminders of
          codes, we should abide by.

Don't point your finger at another,
taking into account, you aren't schooled in places
they've been, or versed in what they might have
            witnessed.

Don't let your self-pride build up so high,
that you don't remember you're rooted
in remnants of ash, connected equally
to past and present.

  We are taught, there are
                            exclusive gifts
that are ours to claim. Cores of identity,
that in due course, must be excavated
and explored.

              When it comes to how
this decks of cards will be played,
we must not underestimate others,
or likewise it will happen to us
even harsher. All that we will encounter,
              is a two-way-street or greater.

I notice it might sound cliche,
but the Golden Rule applies here.
It isn't our occupation to rebuild the world,
only to make it a better place,
then the one, we're born into.

We aren't here to incite bickering
and strife, but to make a statement.

The greatest purpose I can see
is to cherish one another with a devotion that
will not bend. Compassion that doesn't fracture
                              when rocked in unsteady stages.

Callings, to create perpetual changes,
that will not fade as years roll on.

Bob Dylan Quotes

"The walls of pride are high and wide, can't see over to the other side."

"Each of us has his own special gift and you know that was meant to be true. And if you don't underestimate me. I won't underestimate you."

"it's never been my duty to remake the world at large, nor is it my intention to sound a battle charge. 'Cause I love you more than all of that with a love that doesn't bend. And if there is eternity I'd love you there again."

Stay free of petty jealousies, live by no man's code, and hold your judgement for yourself; lest you wind up on that road."

Great poem and I am in total agreement life is a two way street and one must be cautious how and in what direction one moves.

About
I started writing poetry when I was thirteen. That was in 2005. Since then, it has been eleven years, and I've enjoyed each of them. Free verse, rhyme, different forms. Wherever my muse leads me. .. more..
