Breathing Echo of Sacred Isis

Breathing Echo of Sacred Isis

A Poem by Echoes of Eros
"

Cleopatra.. born in radiance.

"

Cleopatra

Born in radiance

The great glory of the father

And divine essence of Life

She was the breathing echo of sacred Isis

Who flowed through her blood

Awakening the stars

Arousing the fires of Alexandria

Rising like the temples of Philae

Rippling like the Nile

Wave upon wave

She consumed the darkness

This goddess of Light

Her skin was as soft as mist

Her will forged in the fire

Writing her soul's tattoo

On all she touched

She was the seducer of kings

Leader of nations

Last Pharaoh of Egypt

Leaving endless traces of

Raging heat still sighing

In the scent of her wild wake

Cleopatra. One of the world greatest characters of history. You gave her respect with your words. She must of been a woman of beauty and great strength. Made Rome fall to her feet for a moment. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I could really see a poet of the age reciting this in a beautiful palatial setting perhaps post-feasting and setting a mood.
