Pull

Pull

A Poem by Rain Bo
"

Three poems popped into my head yesterday. This is the only one that stuck.

"

I look away

To keep my eyes

From peircing you.

I move away

To keep my skin

From burning you.

I stay away

To keep my heart

From seeking yours.

I talk to you

To keep you

From knowing.

And every word was a waste of time.

But at least I exchanged them with you.

Me first!
I know you'll get swarmed for this one-- hopefully.

I really like this one, it's very deep and heartfelt. The theme is repetitive, and absolutely lovely.
It's so true, and the vibe you get with the use of every word is almost painfully emotional.

Keep writing, Kudos, Good write, and all of those other things Writerscafe reviewers often say!

This is fantastic. It is amazingly deep for such a short poem. I know the feelings you describe very well and you've done a great job of expressing your feelings in a way that is easy to relate to, but can also be read on many levels.
