In The Surface

In The Surface

A Poem by Edward Lancheister
"

view in the surface of the water

"

Swimming in the depth through the beach

Diving much deeper and deeper

See the coral and lovely sea creature to reach

feel the warmth of the sunlight that penetrates the water

Air bubbles that race to the surface

like million life’s breath run to the creator

The beauty of nature created for a purpose

Capture a moment that become more and more greater

for a moment I was stunned at the beauty inside

Go up to the surface, feel the heaviness of the pressure

Every breath that taken, every move back to the surface

Back into where I suppose to be

Ran towards the beach, drove by the waves.

staring at the beautiful sea surface

saved millions of mystery and the beauty kept inside

everything is hidden in the surface of life

Like a person that's seen on the outside

they have million thoughts and secret hidden inside

you can see the calmness and feel the sweetness

without realizing what could be a beast dwell in the depths

Wow! I really really loved this. Imagery was spot on and I could feel what you were writing. I loved: "feel the warmth of the sunlight that penetrates the water" I appreciate your analysis of the sea and all of it's wonder, because such a mysteriously beautiful place deserves much more attention through beautiful literature such as this. I love love loved it. I can't wait to read more from such a gifted writer!

I give it a big wow just like the others, truly well done. and to be honest I was thinking this will be just a poem about nature but the way you turned it around in the last stanza was superb.

Very nice. If only people could see the entirety of others souls as easily as they can see natures beauty, nuances, and many mysterious facets.
