LAND TO SEA

LAND TO SEA

A Poem by kitty
"

Planet earth has such fascination for me. As discoveries are made by scientists free we seek to know more of things unknown and yet to be - seen.

"
                        LAND TO SEA
Where land meets sea >>.<<
spectacular sight to see.
The wonder of the world -
a combination of war and peace ...
calm on land and turmoil in the crashing waves.
Nature chips in when existence is threatened:
refuge found in rocks and cliffs above the sea.
Clouds look down and startled eyes are raised.
From shore to shore life is defined by the power of the sea
Snow capped mountains display a magnificient beauty ...
challenged only by the sun drenched sands of warmer shores.
Trecherous waters often make the connection impossible
but mankind with adventerous minds pursue the impossible
         and 'stoop to conquer'.
Animals who inhabit these waters have been given
the strength and ability to survive - and survive the must!

A peek at documentaries involving nature and its wonders is enough of an inspiration for a 'nature' piece.

this feels like allegory...there are always turbulent waters between segments we experience in life...to get to the good moments, we often tread treacherous waters of emotion, anger, pitfalls...but if we keep a steady hand on the wheel of the ship and get through to the other side, the calm waters, it will be worth it.

Indeed you express some of the rugged contrasts that nature displays .Love the war and peace reference as it apty captures those powerful currents and tides and their might against the stillness, the solidity of land.
Final line 'survive they must'?
