STRANGER THAN FICTION

STRANGER THAN FICTION

A Poem by kitty
"

Not having written anything since Corvid-19 I thought I would show that my thoughts are still with WritersCafe. Hoping you are all keeping safe.

"
                             STRANGER THAN FICTION
This reality is not new
He picked his moment: knew just what to do.
Man of experience, the ladies he knew...
would fill his diary, with names extending from London to Crewe.
His charm was unequalled, he took a pew
The ladies adored him - a fact he knew!
He aimed for that lassie - the conquest was sure
She looked lost and lonely - he knew the cure.
With bold endeavour he threw out the line,
hooked her completely - took no time!
She did not spurn him: his approach - so unique ...
though worldly and cautious, a real man she did seek.
He crossed her path- but never too late
Now happy and contented - this meeting was 'Fate'.
Questions yet unanswered ...
Note:
Examine his motives - he's too good to be true...
Careful how you trust him - comes time you could rue!

Old wise saying. Too good to be true. Good possibility, not real.

dearest Kitty.... there have been times when two confused people can find solace in sharing; thereby they obtain Virtues. Birds find mates and are true to their nest full of responsibilities. There are always a few Mavericks. However, for the most part... proceed with Caution. gently, Pat

My word, its not hard to guess what inspired or rather prompted these words ... I'm with Coyote on this kitty .. if it looks or sounds too good to be true, then I would suggest exercise extreme caution ..

Hello Kitty. Sadly it is easy to be duped nowadays. Especially with online romances. Plenty of cads out there wanting to make an easy buck or two. You read about it all the time. You have to be even more careful of who you trust. Good to see you writing again. I hope all is OK with you.

Until you know you don't know. So easily to be duped and that is both male and female.
Nicely penned Kitty.
Hope you are well

I love using the title phrase in my writings so I liked how you used it aptly for a situation that was too good to be true. I smiled at the fish and hook figurative play, creatively put. Kudos!!

I think it is wise to remember the good moments more than the bad...
Memories are more comfortable that way.
