Italian Sonnet

Italian Sonnet

A Poem by mess of gorgeous chaos

In the Midst of a Concert

The voice I could pick out in a large crowd,
the rhythms I could likely hum during sleep,
heard in pulsing beats that cause me to leap.
I refuse to sing any way but loud
When it seemed above me lurked a storm cloud
these songs played as friends that made my strength keep
My favorite band on a stage so steep
"I won't forget tonight" is what I vowed

Waves of bodies moving as one whole mass
Surrounded by those who understand you
No one notices the stench or the heat
So let loose, let go, and let the time pass
There's a special aura in this venue
We're thousands living to the same heartbeat
