We Just Didn't Make It

Sometimes Cupid’s arrow eventually wears off

and love at first sight doesn't return for the second glance.

Sometimes you can’t do much about it

when everything is ruined by circumstance.

 

We could have been soul mates

but we just barely missed.

We could have been forever lovers

but we just didn't make it.

Maybe we were meant to be together

at another time

or in another life.
