Rise of the Wind

Rise of the Wind

A Poem by SilentDreamer

The alarms rang

Crashing through the towns.

Uprooting fear,

Taking down assurnace

And safety.

The little girl ran

With her family trailing.

Only to find later

Her santuary,

Her home

Had gone and

Fallen

With the rise of the wind.

This poem, despite being brief, creates a concise, clear story. It could serve as a caption under a picture on a wall. Also, it conveys the emotion of losing a sense of security during storms or other disasters.
