Tomorrow's Queen

Keeper to the secrets of her mind

A steady gaze lends justice to her truth

Wisdom sharp yet ancient as the sky

Fearless with an air of boundless youth

 

Master of the destiny she walks

Whom freedom follows even through the dark

An alchemist: creates hope from despair

A muse of iron will and lion’s heart

 

And when she rides, she does with grace and pride

A beauty far beyond what can be seen

Herein lays a metaphor for life

This is the story of tomorrow’s Queen

This was a lovely piece that I enjoyed reading. I've a great love for horses too. I used to ride quite a bit in my younger days. I can still hand tie a bridle from a piece of rope though and know enough to keep my cinch tight. I'm very fond of strong, intelligent, independent women too, having raised one and currently raising another as daughters. Great write.
