Into The Storm

Into The Storm

A Poem by elvenom

It's not new. I wrote it in 2015.

Closed eyes, we are consumed
by the fright of what's to come
and sitting there we presumed -
life is only cruel and fearsome.

Do starlight ever glow astray
by the puny storms outside?
Gets dim, but never goes away
and neither beauty is, nor pride.

Opened eyes, broke the glass,
took our guts, swiftly jumped,
landed feet onto the grass;
time for fears to be dumped.

Take my hand, brave the storm,
dance with me under the rain.
For adventures we are born;
let it cleanse our pulsing pain.

Come on, let's be mad together;
magic is all around us.
Burn bright like a phoenix feather
so no storm would ever ground us.

Author's Note

It was some sort of weird mood that made me write it as I recall.
