Your Title

Your Title

A Poem by Elvis Gilley
"

Divorce

"

I would call you a b***h

but well you don't deserve a title

I would say that I hate you

but hell for that to be true, I would have to love you

I would walk away from you

but unfortunately you posses a huge part of me

So what will I do

I guess I will live in this hell we call separation

Why I don't know

but then again most of the time I don't care

You have my daughter

my life a possession so precious

I see now

that is the greater part of your lure

I want to scream

and yet I don't want to hear it

I desire to inflict pain

and I sit here and watch myself bleed

What a show

for a deviant mind

Never before

has it been understood

How the hell

a man can withstand the storms

Alone

afraid and yet so proud

She cries

and I weep alone

For one day these nightmares

will become my fatherly dreams

The Lady of horror

will fade into the blackness of night
