I Gotta Pee

for my dear best friend, Deepshikha, who suggested i write about how she's feeling at the moment when i asked her for a topic :D

I'm crossing my legs

Watching the clock

Waiting for the bell

Before people gawk

I'll run out of the room

Not a moment too soon

And run back to my place

Before I'm marked late

I've got my homework out

And pencil in hand

Just waiting for the sound

One sound of command

The seconds tick by

My palms become damp

My breath becomes deep

I'm caught by a clamp

This feeling erupts

It's getting hard to see

Only a few more minutes

But s**t, I gotta pee

I love writing like this. It actually makes the mundane stuff of human existence, and makes it into something somewhat beyond. In this case, it's fun and pretty amusing. And the last line is so full of fun wit and wordplay. In some odd way, I love this poem haha
