A Poem by em810

everytime I speak

Fell through,

Let down,

If you’re gonna make it back here

Well it’s best you do it now

I feel the creeping fear

That you aren’t coming

And I can keep searching because

I don’t give up easily

And I’m a fool

But I’ve got nothing to lose but you

I can wait until we grow old

Wait until my life is sold

Wait until the sun rises again

Wait until I find a word

You’ve caused these cracks in my heart

To break open and I don’t have much time

All this time it’s been my life on the line

But you just wanted a fresh start

It's two worlds that collided in a moment

Broken in the next

And I guess its selfishness that runs in my veins

And I’m growing bitter each day

Over what I can no longer say

Your words are all that remains

If it’s truth I’m looking for

Better not open the drawer

Lost words swirling forever

The only thing keeping me together

Bring me back to reality

Feel some kind of sanity

This life isn’t yours

This life is only one word.

And that’s just it... I already lost you,

I just can’t accept that.
