Inhale

Inhale

A Poem by emaks

Flowers everywhere-
I breathe in spring!
I watch the earth wake up;
see it stretch toward life-

-Begin!

Wondrous display-
more delicate and melodious
than any master-work
with its involution
and balance.

Earth bursts with brush strokes of color.
Pale greens surround me,
and blues and
hues of every sort.

New life!

Warmed sun sounds float
on lilac breezes.
Birds and frogs
sing harmony to me.
Earth explodes!
Her beauty stings my eyes!

(Alternate title: Ode to Allergies)

Spring lives again- I inhale, I sneeze- but this is a wonderful ode to spring- Well paced, excellent wordcraft, and just the right amount of humor-love the last line.
