Winter Sunrise

Winter Sunrise

A Poem by EmeraldFacet
"

Taking the time to acknowledge mother nature.

"
This fridgid morning
From the dusty metro bus window
I watched the sun
Lazely creep out
From beneath
Her thick velvet ebony blanket

Ever so gently peeling off
Nights ridgid armor
I felt her sparkly rays
Warm upon my frosted cheeks
And I couldn't help but giggle

The bus finally halted
And bruised my elbows
I stepped out of the congestion
Into the bewildered city street

I was greeted
By Dawn.

She exhalted a sigh
That blew through my curly locks
And gently caressed my bare neck
Sending chills onto my ivory skin
Yet simultaneously warming my soul

I watched her
Gracefully climb her way up
Into the pale placid sky
Above the plush milky clouds
She was perched

I wonder if anyone else noticed
In the midst of morning rush hour

I love this. Winter is by far the best season in my opinion and this well represents it. Great Job Xx

I like this poem. Few of us can see the good in a new day. I like the description of the dawn and the feel of the cold morning. A very good ending to a excellent poem. Thank you.
