The Question Of Love

The Question Of Love

A Poem by E M I L Y

I've thought about it for a while

just to check if I was right

turns out I was,

but its nothing you really have to think about.

Its because your smile makes me happy

and the way you act makes me laugh

its because of the things you say to me

that make me feel this way.

everytime you walked me home

i left distance

just so i can stop myself

so you wouldn't notice i was a fool.

i can remember everything we did

and all the times you've conforted me

from all the attitude and ignorance

but now im afraid to tell you

what i've been "thinking" about

and why i feel this way about you

for which i can not slay

i really truly dearly do

but its not the right time to say

you've got your problems

and its clear you want me out of it

though you say you care

you never show it

and im left laying here

just thinking about it

but like i said before

these feelings im left with

i can not tell you

because im afraid of what you'll do

very sad delimma. I can feel the anticipation as well as the fear of telling. you have painted a very vivid picture for the reader and I was brought smoothly into the poem as it flowed along nicely.

great job.
