Desire

Desire

A Poem by Mirror
"

Solitary. Quiet Moments

"

Right Now
I need to just get away
From everything
From the desk, PC, and phones
From you and me, and anyone who cares
Who should?
Who will?
I will love to be by the trees
Where there is gentle breeze
And by fall I stroll home
Take a glass of wine
Seat by the fire
Only with this desire

especially for the introverts of the world...solitude is necessary for life...we rest, rejuvenate, rekindle our fires for discovery ... the straight forward, simple language gives me that feeling of solitude in itself... so for me... i say .. well done! thanks for sharing such an intimate moment with poetry

Yeah, sometimes you've got to get away to reassess your life. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not.
Sometimes the bottle of wine does it too.

If we could have those desired moments and hold the the peace and tranquility they fill our hearts, life is a bliss! Loved your longing for solitude !

You are singing my song here, my friend. I often unplug my phone over the weekend, becuz I just can't take any extraneous noise in my life! You've done a great job of using vivid details to show us, first the noisy life, & then the quiet solitude. Too bad more people cannot unplug from the chaos! *sigh!* Fondly, Margie

I think everyone has a chamber in their hearts set aside for solitude. Sometimes in this fast paced world we need those little moments where we can detach ourselves from the stresses of life and just revel in nature and ponder. And as writers and poets, it is in these moments of solitude that our muse is awakened.

Lovely write, Mirror. Very reflective and ponderous.

Thank you Doodly, your review really connects to my thoughts.
I agree. I love being in the hands of nature. Forest, water or mountain. Places for us to gather our mind and thoughts. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
