Navy Rum and Sour Grapes

Navy Rum and Sour Grapes

A Poem by Emily Cunningham
"

Always with the drunk poetry.

"

I’m a little drunk.

Pleasantly so If you ask me.

Which they usually don’t.

If it looks happy it’s not sad.

I hate whiskey.

Navy rum reminds of my brother.

And my father.

Lost days collecting nuts, conkers, blackberries.

Sour grapes.

So I’m a little drunk,

Who the f**k are you?
