Fragile

Fragile

A Poem by Emily Robinson
"

Written in July 2007.

"

So fragile, and in my own two hands
I rock you gently, I'm so afraid you might break
in the softness, I try to find the right words to speak
not in my power to be the poet of divine intervention,
but I want to help you not to feel weak.
I reach for my scriptures, while clinging tightly to the telephone
you called me earlier but I couldn't answer at the time
Please call on the Lord. His ear is always inclined.
let the thoughts and worries dissipate, let the holy spirit pray for you
Let the almighty bring peace to you, my friend
His greatness is more than enough.
I try to find the words to speak, that will comfort you but not break you
but then I'm reminded that I'm not here to save you, I'm only here to listen
so I cling to the telephone, and read you scriptures
...and I pray continually.

This is very nice, a pray to be there and reminder that the scriptures will help to guide you along.

Good write.
