sweet words

sweet words

A Poem by Xen enderide

sometimes they are the hardest to hear

A sharp tongue saying harsh words.

Is nothing to sweet lips saying aimed shots.

Cant be avoided or unheard.

Said innocently but with plot.

 Perhaps just in my head.

And they mean nothing.

Though each phrase has me dead.

Making me feel, like nothing.

Casual chatting.

With words smacking.

Harmless jokes.

Harmless knife pokes.

Careless phrases.

Has me dazed.

Responding with a smile.

But I wont be okay, not for a while.

But what does it matter?

For I know I don’t.

It had me shattered.

But do you care, you wont.

A chance to get back?

For all my wrongs.

To bring up what I lack?

Still I must be strong.

To endure this penitence

To build more patience

To endure the storm

To endure woman’s scorn
