Elderheart in Wax Paper

Elderheart in Wax Paper

A Poem by SLOVA

My skin
Paper thin
Parched
White
Red streets
Blue highways
An obedient core
Sacrificial
For the artificial
Unhappy
But not apologetic
Remedied
By strangers
Sunken by love
Unable to grip
Onto anything
Worthwhile
So it sleeps
Silently
Enduring
In my skin
Paper thin
Not at all enough
Of a home.

There is no point for reviewing. This is truly a great piece. It goes with the style of the song "A-Team. "
The lines that stood out to me the most are:
"Red streets
Blue highways
An obedient core"

This is a nice poem but all the given words were not used, so it cannot be accepted for a prize in the 10 Words I Give contest. You must use all 10. Thank you for giving a shot, though!! Try again next round if you will :_

I liked the short sentences. You said a lot and I wanted to know more.
"In my skin
Paper thin
Not at all enough
Of a home."
Paper thin skin leave us open to bruises and turmoil. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
