My Spirit

My Spirit

A Poem by The Vintage Nail
"

One day some one challenged me. They said I will give you 10 words, I want you to write a poem. This is what I came up with.

"

My Spirit

Chill from the wind of death. Ice cold, Rebirth, and warmth like the spring. My spirit awakens
Essence of life and love.

Ice-cold days melted away from the heat of nourished love. Like a blanket of warmth.

Mother, I am no longer dormant. Earth not my cave any longer, but now my castle.

Sunless days melted away by the warmth of this mother's heart.

Fly over me, Spread brighter then a rainbow.
Covered, protected My blanket of Sunshine.

I kiss life like a snowman and yet I love with a nourished heart.

A. Amos, you are precious and thoughtful with honesty in your opinion and I love it. Thank you
There is something alluring about this piece, that something so cold could be so warm, a play of opposites and the triumph of the heart through whatever obstacles or changes life brings. I read it many times, because it's a different and I liked how the piece had overtures, after-tastes and strange sentiments that matched nature with feeling.

"Earth not my cave any longer, but my castle" wow that was amazing right there, and yet as I read on, more words and stanzas became so much more. I read it again as a whole and it was beautiful :)
