BELLS OF ST. PAULS CATHEDRAL, LONDON

BELLS OF ST. PAULS CATHEDRAL, LONDON

A Poem by E.P. Robles

Bells of St Pauls Cathedral
  i love you!
in a dreaming --> slipping
   a  w  a y!
you take my soul with you
dreaming something unlike
my life which I never owned!

my heart is a large mouth
  but your notes too
   perfect for my plate!

Poet's Notes:

In the heart of London's bustling sprawl,
Where time's melodies gracefully enthrall,
Resides a haven, a symphony untold,
The Bells of St Paul's, where tales unfold.

In heights where dreams and echoes dance,
A resounding cadence, a poetic trance,
Bronze guardians with ancient allure,
Their voices resplendent, pure and sure.

With each reverberation, history awakes,
Whispering secrets, the cathedral shakes,
They toll for victories, battles won,
A chorus of triumph beneath the sun.

Through solemn peals, they mourn the lost,
Tears cascade in melodies, tempest-tossed,
Yet hope persists in each vibrant chime,
Resilient echoes transcending time.

From high cathedral towers, they reach the sky,
Carrying prayers and praises, soaring high,
A celestial choir, celestial grace,
Their melodies woven in sacred space.

The Bells of St Paul's, a timeless hymn,
From humble whispers to grand seraphim,
They bind the city, past and present,
A symphony of faith, forever pleasant.

So, let us listen, let our spirits sway,
To the serenade of each bell's display,
For in their sonorous enchantment, we find,
The spirit of London, forever entwined.

You have touched my heart with this write about the bells of St Paul’s cathedral which ring out across the city on occasions of historical interest. I am a Londoner and my parents and grandparents were also. Those bells have significant interest to Londoners. They are fibre and soul to us. Thank you for sharing.

She told me how Philip chased her. He was a horn-dog according to her. It's all history now.
