Emotional Nature

Emotional Nature

A Poem by Eric Lee

Wandering through life’s forest.

I stumbled upon the path, to you.

Just beyond Doubt River.

Over Unworthy Hill.

You lay.

Entangled in weeds.

Crying and terrified.

Oak trees, shade you.

Crow after crow, join in mocking.

Creatures run,

scared, and feeling as if you’re too far gone.

A heavenly, hell.

This seemingly dark and devilish event, saturated,

by a light mist from your hearts own tears.

Your emotions have finally crumbled,

no longer able to bare the weight.

Your tears have finally finished their journey,

To seep into the soil, never to be seen again.

You’ve held them back for years.

It’s time they’re let go.

A fresh start. A cleansing feel.

Let your past blow away, with this evening’s wind.

OH thats tragicly sweet! Reminds me of seeing a horse get sucked down in quicksand. But your poem had a happier ending!
