Cold Winter Rain

Cold winter rain falls from the sky
like tears in my soul that will not dry
the sky is grey and I cannot sing
cold winter rain soaks down my wings.

Cold winter rain falls harsh and cold
it is the world grabbing hold
clouding my soul, scarring it with pain
haunting my life is cold winter rain.
