adverbially speaking too much

adverbially speaking too much

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

 adverbially speaking too much

the importance of adverbs

slightly misplaced

sorely overused

blatantly brimming, abutting helpless verbs

an adjective lost in the shuffle

gives his heart to a noun

then gets propositioned by another adverb

who has already fallen further down the word chain

and here i sit,

calmly, silently, watching

feloniously swearing never to misuse

an adverb

for the incredibly long duration

of this unhappily mismanaged bunch of

saltily sprinkled syllables

i poorly predicate to be a poem.

Speaking of adverbs, you are the best poet on this website, when it comes to creating alliteration that flows naturally, nicely spaced out, & without coming across as a pile-up of adverbs & adjectives. I'm afraid your profuse adverbial love affair described here is a little too complicated for my simple country mind, tho *smile* I can't even imagine what it must be like to be inside the mind that regularly pumps out your special blend of metaphorical word plays! (((HUGS)))

I agree . . . most poems "come over me" & spill out quickly *wink! wink!*
In years to come, this will be classed as a famous poem.
People will remember how i famously predictably unselfishly predicted this.
If i could find Jacobly, you would be immortal.

adverbially speaking i am gratefully thanking you....

I innocently fell awkwardly into this adverbial, perfectly mastered poem of yours and seriously, selfishly wished it were mine :)

Be still my grammatically inclined calamitously beating heart. One of my faves of yours, of which, there are many.

It takes a certain appreciation of your clever word usage.
maybe hold up on the saltily syllables Jacob??!! ;0) I tried saying
"blatantly brimming, abutting helpless verbs" 10 times fast and still have my tongue in knots, so thanks for that Jacob... so I have concluded that speaking too many adverbs at once may be dangerous to your health!!! andth Ith hasth a definiteth lispth...

okay, no more teasing as this is a muchly welcomed poem adverbs do not get the attention they deserve, or is that used in all the wrong places... as you can see I am having a great time with your poem Jacob... it is a good one... ;0)
