A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

what's in store

spend your moons
it's a Woolworth patch
on a blazing, burning itch of skin

the cool white ointment within
covers perfectly in the south
beams of balm

soothing feeling priceless
just put it back on the shelf
when the bandage comes off.

WOW! I don't think anyone could be more imaginative when writing about an eclipse! I love the ongoing metaphor of skin & ointment & soothing . . . plus the bandage coming off -- I can almost feel that! *smile* Fondly, Margie
