detonating reason

detonating reason

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

detonating reason

several minutes dead
then you became the oxygen
the resuscitation as lips burned back to life

eyes blinked in serendipitous wonder
you came from a past that had extinguished itself
in latent sorrow fields

but the dead don't bury themselves in love
it is premature burial,
i saw you in my peripheral mirror
and kissed back

blue turned to crimson insight
incited into combustion
we exploded against a purple moon
exaggerated indifference became passion's shrapnel

and we became bits and pieces
of each other's soul
when heaven couldn't begin
to define itself.

i saw you in my peripheral mirror
and kissed back,

What came next was indeed an explosion of passion, blue to crimson, what a colour change. Sometimes it happens like that, and if it does, how incredibly exciting.

Great work Jacob

Thank You J ! I now have have a beautiful intensity to hold all day :)
we exploded against a purple moon
exaggerated indifference became passion's shrapnel

the games people play in love just heighten the peaks of passion, fan the flames. These are the good things in life. It was a pleasure to read your poetry today sir.
