figurative stones and band aid logic

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

figurative stones and band aid logic

disparaging verbosity

incriminating spew of sordid sacrilege

insults hurled as in a stoning

cracked vase of emotion

the glassy pond ripples with unease

success counted

as she cringes in a state

of terror

he being its capital.

One reason I never sustained a relationship -- I become this haranguing shrew & it looks every bit as ugly as you describe (yes, crave the drama of crashing glass). As a loner, my intractable ugliness stays hidden in the vase *wink! wink!* fondly, Margie

I always think I've finally overcome it, but certain situations are triggers . . .
Hurling insults like stones. Oh my, that is not a recipe for togetherness. Ouch, those stones hurt and in rapid succession. Band aid only heals the surface, the real wound remains within. Yes ripples on the pond, that could turn into waves before long. The future looks grim.
