Semantically Yours

you were the verb

that parsed my sentence

with rumination

and enamored pose....

Reminds me of my crazy ole uncle's favorite saying: "May my enemies never see me down; let me die at the hands of a friend."
Maybe, it was just his craziness.
The brevity and impact of your poem are quite impressive.

thank you for the smile this morning, Lorry....

So much depth in these lines . So much unsaid. She may have been in the past, but she is certainly not forgotten. Brevity with a spoonful of romance added. Nicely conveyed Jacob.

Such a clever brevity, linguistically romantic! May I call this delicious, J.? Methinks that behind those few words there just might be an epic novel!! Warm thoughts, happy memories?

thank you, gram...
Now there's a connection ... and who but a writer could even think along those lines. She was the verb ... the sentence broken down into its various components ... the judge debating the arguments and in the end you are standing and clutching the rail with a gaze of rapture painted in your eyes.
May be I have it wrong, but it sounds good.

A good write j.
