Do I detect a thought in this poem to that old disco movie . . . "Saturday Night Fever?" People still disparage that old 70"s funky music . . . maybe not because of the sound itself, but those awful clothing styles!!!!! I remember dancing with my gal under a strobe light in a smoky crowed roadhouse in upstate NY in the early 70's . . . before disco. Fortunately for us . . . the fever never broke!!!

Like those disco lights on Saturday nights. Psychedelic, mind-bending play of music and light. The dancers move awkwardly, move for move, initial wariness turning to confidence, only to be lurched later. With strobe light love, the trip always ends, the fever always breaks and with it all the illusions.

You got me dancing yeah. Great imagery here of people meeting on the dance floor amid the flashing lights and the heat. Oh what fun, and then you speak to them after the music and find that the flames are extinguished. They aren't who you thought .When someone opens there mouth and speaks, what a difference it can make. This one made me smile. It is so very relatable. Took me back in time. Great read Jacob.
