Regarding Lifetimes on Short Notice

graphic design,
words emblem-ed
in fated foraging
of imagery laden sorrow

a beautiful forest
of bare trees
the coldness of heart
reckoned
with winter breeze

a scenic cottage
windows cracked,
hinges rusted over
from neglect
where once love consumed
in romantic brief

graphic design
once spirited drawings
Pollack-like in reckless abandon
the world spun just for us
a whirling dervish of passion

our cottage, our woods
our love under halcyon sky

would i?
again
knowing how winter touched us
to our demise?

absolutely,
leaves in solemn beauty
pattern closeness
and in spring when they
share rebirth

perhaps we will embrace
reunion
and recapture that color
we once had.

Beautiful flow and descriptive wording about love memories in "our cottage our woods" winter devours us, but our love rebirths in the spring. Love it!!!

Of course!
When decline replaces the shine..........
A moving poem, Jacob, emphasising that time is the only stable thing in life .

a beautiful poem with cracked windows, the decay adding to the dark, despite the pain we all would if we could

A poem of contrasts. Then and now. 'our cottage, our woods
our love under a halcyon sky'
It seems that when love fell apart, the beautiful little cottage which had been a place of much joy did too. Sharp contrast between the cold of winter and the warmth of early love. Given the chance, would you do it all again? I say you would and willingly so. Desperately sad when the colour goes and winter sets in to relationships. I felt the sadness in this poignant poem. Beautiful imagery.

Loved the visuals created here. The stark contrast in then and now.

The same scenic cottage once full of animated warmth and love under a sunny, pink halcyon sky and now, derelict and cold in the icy blasts of a grey winter, its doors creaking sadly on their rusted hinges...

...perhaps, with some effort, a seasoned craftsman could make it cozy and colorful again...
