less Royal moments in a Royal Academy's existence

less Royal moments in a Royal Academy's existence

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

less Royal moments in a Royal Academy's existence

sometimes the brain

reaches out and touches the keyboard of life

but the heart finds its fingers

frozen in a non-committal state

that leaves letters unpunched

unfinished

unposted

unsent

unread ....

I can't help thinking that doing nothing can lead to regret further down the line. I have experienced that myself. Plenty to think about here Jacob. Brevity which says much.

Yes your poem speaks volumes of truth. I have left many a letter unfinished and unposted as my fingers froze , you captured this well.

You are most welcome.
The music of the heart goes beyond the keyboard. We hope and pray to find the right score that there is no dissonance, that when we awake the harmony will be there. Somehow we'll find the right words , read and reread the ones that lighten our hearts. Perhaps we'll even write a few.

Take care - Dave

I heard somewhere, "you miss every single shot not taken", this was a basketball reference, but I think true in all aspects of life.... we regret after the fact that we did not take the chance.... perhaps even worse is the idea behind that Moody Blues song ('Nights In White Satin) that goes, "letters I've written, never meaning to send".... but in countering this is the TS Eliot saying, "you never know how far you can go, until you've gone too far".... at any rate Jacob, I like the way you write AND POST your words, definitely "royal" moments for us readers... so my friend, go tell her how you feel... er... I mean.... oh hell what do I know my average has been zero and I took the shots!!! lol...
