Exceptions to Reason

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Exceptions to Reason

harsh winds mellow

your love breezes gently

into the realm

of my newfound serenity

The capture and release of serenity, in words, this is beautifully penned, in essence!

thank you for your kind words, Lost,

I couldn't explain how poignant this poem is to me without a thousand words. It's brief but contains imagery I've used with her and speaks strongly to our current situation. This is why I read poetry.

You are welcome Jacob.
Heart over head, it seems. But, what would we miss in life if we didn't allow those gentle breezes to carry us away? Depth and brevity in this poem.

Assuming "Exceptions to Reason" refers to feelings, the rest is all peace and love--beautifully portrayed.
Got no problem with that.
Excellent bit of poetry!

An incredibly beautiful piece of brevity here Jacob. The storm has gone, blown itself out and peace and serenity have been restored. Now that doesn't come quickly where most relationships are concerned, it takes time. Yes, relationships are just like that. Love, love, love this little poem.

Great title Jacob. There are always one or two exceptions, even in these strange times that feel like the freshest breeze on an overheated mind/ body/ soul.
Even the phrase newfound serenity seems to come with its own cooling breeze, as I imagine contented sighs melting once strained bones and muscles into liquid and sleep coming that bit easier to help ease those knots and kinks gathered like physical mementos of our past.

A lovely brief write
A flowing of soft breezes
filtering love intoi realms
of a newfound serenity
a peaceful mellow feeling
