Crowns of Relinquished Glory

Crowns of Relinquished Glory

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Crowns of Relinquished Glory

let the pain impart

then depart

swollen hearts imbue

a throbbing insistence

his is no longer beating

even though breaths still spew

from the insipid tongue

of ugly diadems.

Not sure if this is mixed metaphors! Could be a mix and non.match of theology, poor health, politics, movieology, inter-family bickering or - As ever you've set the mind and tongues wagging.. you have such a way, sir!

You're welcome, as ever always. Please take care of yourself, keep safe. :)
A man with no heart. Sounds like the Wizard of Oz. Oh, that was the scarecrow with no brain or summat. Maybe some similarities. Thinking of election time here and the falling of crowns.

LMAO. That movie had a certain amount of wisdom in it:)
Might this describe what's coming up for us in early November? *hope! hope!* We'll see if the crown is relinquished. Love the end/internal rhymes in V1 - feels like a drumbeat! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I suppose even ugly Gods should be allowed to breathe sometimes, nothing makes an uglier God than the lack of a beating heart, then they are just become undead monsters without a care for how they hurt you,

Sorry to hear that J. :(
this had a exorcist feeling, that pain to be exorcised that spews all forms of profanities and anger from being hurt.
