Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Metamorphosis

peaceful

in her garden,

she grows comfort

i pick greens

of her kindness

her demeanor blossoms

in fall,

in winter

she stands tall

emitting a certain warmth

that ripens

with an early October breeze

i love the fruits

of her intensity

no storm can eradicate

she is beauty

she is a dozen roses

in one

opening to the song of the wind

i am a cloud

moved to a standstill

as i rain within her

smile

and become a clear sky.

I felt a calm in this garden of sites, smells, and sensual breeze.
Who is She? Nature? that provides the greens to the narrator?
The first person must be embodied to consume the greens.
But then, the speaker becomes an etherial cloud...

"she is beauty
she is a dozen roses
in one"
....sweet

... You aint by any chance metaphorin about broccoli are ya jacob sir ... No .. of course not ..

You are however perfectly describing something of immense beauty .. Something that is both within itself and otherwise of exceptional quality, nigh on perfect maybe .. whether it be a view, a place, a feeling, a lover or maybe something that incorporates all of these things ...

I dont think I have ever used the term exceptional twice in the same visit .. but on this occasion, I have no problem making such a precise exception ....

This poem is breathtaking in its beauty. It has a quiet serenity and as I read each word I swear I saw and felt the movement of a tree for all seasons. One of my favs Jacob. This poem has everything
