Currently Back Then

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Currently Back Then

a drop in the lake of charm

swelling on your behalf

ripples of beauty

conjugate upon your idyllic

unscripted pose,

you are oblivious to your own countenance

but I bow to your inherent allure

swimming towards you in my dreams...

can't resist those
dreams and who
would want to
when the memories
within are so sweet
that all you can
do is swim towards
them..great line

This leads me into that in between state of being lost in the reverie of thought, as ink touches page and words flow instead of spill, like a calming euphoria like knowing without knowing, that both quietens and awakes the soul. (Just be glad your words flow so much better than that description I just gave) But at least now I can blame not being able to swim for my poetic attemptifications. 😀

you are too funny, my friend!
I often wonder if when thoughts of another reach them in som wy shape or form ... if you tame that power manifestation becomes a whole new ball game ...

this muse has a goddess like feel in the way you relate yourself to her :)

Swimming towards her in your dreams. She sounds extra special. Those memories can be bitter sweet. Currently back a strong title. Seems the dreams have brought her back to you. I hope they stay for as long as you want them too Jacob. Beautiful poem.

We tend to revisit the alluring past again and again in our thought or in the dreams. Dream itself is so beautiful and then swimming with a heart full of love is so mesmerizing...

The power of attraction as it swells in the belly and becomes all consuming it seems. Lovely words as always set out this situation as the besotted is transfixed.

No Jacob your use of metaphor and language to convey emotion, feeling and scenes is unsurpassed.
This is beautiful my friend...A memory that has retained its allure over time...she who is effortlessly charming and her ardent lover never stops wading into her pool of beauty, even in his dreams. The title made me think of the past pervading the present in all its glory....
