A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Restroom Reading

liberal farts

a room of idle thoughts

swayed by the scent

conservative diapers

hold fast

excrement of change

temporarily stymied

Biden and Trump in two brilliant stanzas me thinks Jacob. I take it neither has your full support. Love the second stanza as Trump sits stoically refusing to concede!

Indeed and what a relief he is gone!
Interesting to find your poem, which seems to have stinky political overtones, becuz I've been describing our dictator-who-refuses-to-abdicate as a diarrhea diaper spewing nonstop. Great minds observe similarly, perhaps (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Historically, "change" in America always seems to be synonymous with damaging, socialistic
flights of fancy. Always impoverishes the average taxpayer; always limits individual freedom.
In any event, your poem is high-level "bathroom humor."

Of all your metaphors, this one has to be the most clever! "swayed by the scent" indeed. Laughing here. The excrement of change is not pleasant to some! Jacob, this one is unique! Lydi**

You're welcome sir. :)
Civility is long forgotten
something here is smelling rotten
diapers soaking in a pail
left a stench to make you wail
that seems to be the constant smell
those who govern do not wish us well
if it were only them we could tell
have a good day but go to Hell.

One more week of insults and cacophony.

Got any ear plugs friend.
Take care ... be safe

This one brought a smile to my face recalling time 'spent' in GP's waiting rooms. ..a mixture of stinkey odours and sweet perfume! What a way to live? but it is the essence of life! Thank you for making the day brighter! Stay safe, my friend!

A political slant here. The references to rest room, excrement and odours, sums it up for me. I might not understand the total context of why this poem was written but the gist us fully understood. Much said in this brevity Jacob.
