from her cheek to mine

from her cheek to mine

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

from her cheek to mine

bitter blue skies

i am a cumulus

lover

accumulating rain

in a heart

deprived of shelter

ravaged by the storms

of discontent

forever changed

weathering life

summarily sutured

as if the

surgery were a teardrop

that fell from her cloud.

you're always welcome, my friend. :)
You are lucky... so lucky to be able to express with words like this. I can't tell You how deep this one goes... how I can write a page about it. for women, tears are treasures, it's the way they express and release what's inside them, if they stuck unable to weep, it means they are ladened with so much inside, until that "one" teardrop falls, it's the moment when everything changes, the moment of releasing and then rising, and what's more precious than sharing this moment, this teardrop, with her man, the man who can feel that teardrop over her cheek as if its his... I applaud You warmly, highly, and with real appreciation for You could paint something special and sublime as this.

thank you for your very kind review, lightsong.

Love the title. I think you must be a good shoulder to cry on. That's the feeling you give me when I read this poem. You have weathered the storms but you still have enough there for someone else.

Seems someone else's sadness, perhaps desperation. is contagious, That you find yourself touched by another person's unhappiness. If i understand your floating metaphors, tis an empathic write.. if not.. perhaps, some time, correct me kindly, j.
