Strange Nights in Paris

Strange Nights in Paris

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Strange Nights in Paris

lunatic wind

many blooms

run naked in the night

break on through

to spring's idiocy

let’s sing in couplets

until the breeze blows us over

skin on vinyl

I hear your sighs

break on through

lunatic wind

higher

there are too many to choose from

doors of death, doors of strife

doors of apocalyptic allegiance

doors of life

higher

reaching to open petals in the frosted dawn

but they won't, they die

in the frosted dawn

he is gone.

I love this poem about Jim and the doors. There is something poet and enthralling about their music.

Ah, big Jim fan here :) This is brilliant Jacob - his poetry still to this day renders me speechless, as does this poem - superb! :)

Ah ha. So watching the Doors has got your muse switched on. Of course the music was brilliant, and he was a gorgeous looking young man who sadly wasted himself. Now I believe buried in France, but you will put me right on that J. Lunatic, idiocy and vinyl all work well here.
