A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

just poem

and the cold body
weeps next to the supple mind
that loves
in all its grandeur
but has nothing to hold onto

except a lovely surmise
an intuition
an anomaly

a warm thought.

Thank you for your kind words, Ken,
j.
I love having warm thoughts, they warm the heart. It's better than being chilled with thoughts.

A warm thought can thaw the chill within if focused upon, you weave words with such spirit...

you are very kind to say that, Ruth,
thank you,

We all need to hold onto a warm thought now and then....to know that someone cares. Some people, though, are anomalies. They seem cold and distant, but when the going gets tough, they come through with a hug or a warm thought. When the cold body weeps, even the coldest of men can offer solace. Lydi**

Brilliantly written. So few words but the impact is incredible J.

Warm thoughts are better than cold ones, but there could be so much more, so this is a bit of a tug on the heart strings.

A sort of settling for crumbs poem rather than a steak.

thank you, Rita,

I really like those first three lines. The poem is simple and clear. It fills me with the feeling of reading one poem over and over to aid one moment. One piece of a mosaic to keep as your own.
