Last night

Last night

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Last night

your sunshine,

my shadow

I am a moon frog

turned to a troll prince

exception to the "kiss rule"

of fairy tale

your lips imparting

my vow

alerted

I skipped on lily pads

then turned to stone

The frog is supposed to turn into a Prince and this one turns to stone. More like the kiss of death than a fine romance. A sad, sad situation Elton would say.

maybe a good moment is worth it.
I don't know...but then, I don't know a lot of things.

Is a good moment worth a hit? We each have to weigh that up and decide. Drama is painful:)
Love this
It’s like in reverse
You turned into the prince
The frog has been the prince all this time
All this time in our Cinderella type fairy tales
We never know he’s a prince till we kiss that frog
Never see his worth
You turned to stone cos you were avoiding the vain princess
That’s my take anyway
I’m probably way off lol
That’s the beauty of reading other poems It brings out our imagination and old fairy tales
Sorry if I was way off
Hey enjoyed your write ✍️ as I always do !

No worries Jacob
Hope you well
A sad ending Jacob. Poor frog turn to stone, after a kiss. Thank you my friend for sharing the lullaby of the last kiss.

You are welcome my friend.
I have a couple of those stone frogs in my gardens ... perhaps I should keep an eye on them this evening.

Those sweet lips can certainly evoke vows.

Good one j.
