Stairway

Stairway

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Stairway

the archives come forward
a heart filled with attic dust
sneezes love on the walls of sorrow
as it peeks out
                       that little window
of grief, ascending to heaven

with only a candle flicker
to espouse the journey.

This to me sounds like someone who has loved and loved tremendously. A lover, soulmate has passed onto the next journey the heart of the one left behind is lonely and feeling like it is missing half of itself

... when one has hit rock bottom, the only way to go from there is up .. and if both lucky and allowed, hope and love will light the way forward ..

I could of course be barking up the wrong tree altogether, on my ownsome ... well penned friend ..
