Yes, agreeing with others, this is definitely a 500 page novel of the ilk of Dr Zhivago, do not what the law( the church) say, your love will forever will be hers and vise verse, no matter what the background ( war, peace, etc)

It's got to be Dr Zhivago. The wonderful Julie Christie and Omar Shariff. Seen it at least six times over the years. Every type of frustration and crazy thrown at the screen in the frozen backdrop of Russia with fur coats into the bargain. Tragic ending.
