In the Room

In the Room

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

In the Room

silence, silence, silence

damned silence

her eyes moving about

I was not there to hear

but from afar

I was her pupil

and I heard

what she could no longer say

and noted it to my memory.

When there's nothing left to say, then it's finished. Silence isn't always golden. Silence can be a killer. I would say that the eyes were probably a giveaway too. The eyes mirror the soul. You can't hide from that. A telling poem J. I would imagine the temperature in the room was a bit frosty as well.
