A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a sudden song

           a groove inures itself

I don't hear a thing.

but I dance

                            I dance

two minutes of something in my nothing

                                        Happy Leaves ignite

the inferno

the burn

feet move in my head

my feet?

or are you dancing with me again?

like we did when you were a lyric

   that wrote me into

a sudden song.

thanks for your kind words, don't know, nice to see you back at WC.
This is how disjointed & dislocated I would feel if possibly swept away by something as romantic as an unexpected invitation to dance. The romance wheels have seized up, I guess (((HUGS)))

Wheels up in ten.
thank you for your words, Margie.
Autumn is a dance of lovers falling in colors of
lavender blue and golden hues of chrysanthemums
where emotions tumble in windy moments of sweet serenity.. .
the lyrics of a cherished memory where promises were Rings of Roses...

rings of roses that became....well.
thank you for your words, Pat,
The final stanza here speaks to me. It forms pictures in my mind of fractured love. The partner is dancing with someone else it seems. Sometimes when we hear a song, an old song, it can transport us back in time. This is the feeling I got from this poem J.

Reflective nostalgia dipped in sadness.
