a book to come

a book to come

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a book to come

I felt snowfall in abundance

as my pillow washed ashore

the ocean frozen in thought

I was the pages turning in the breeze

a bookmark fell out of my captain's heart

my tears froze to the sail

tomorrow they may thaw

and I can ride their waves

into the closest summer.

UnTil then the snow is our
undented pillow 'til spring
sails some new thoughts
our way..snowing in KY tonight

There were several references here of winter and the cold. I find this time of year depressing, but hey soon we will be on the cusp of spring when warmth creeps in. Not a fan of cold. Pondering on the title J.

For some reason this one comes across as a description of a block. When things are flowing, all is well, but a block makes you pray for an icebreaker.

Surreal, brilliant, we are all pages blowing in the breeze but yours say so much with just a few perfect and creatively chosen words, yes another book is in you and hopefully many more. Dream, create, sail but don’t go far, I would miss you! Great writing j.

You're welcome
No matter the weather, it will always be spring in my heart,
Snow tends to delight, but it will surely melt away with the sun..
I am awaiting to plant flowers.
love this write, leaves me with thoughts

Hi Jacob, I needed to read your poem 5 times..to really feel I got it..
The metaphors are quite grand..This poem can not be taken literally... well, at least that is what I think.
Feels like a dream to me..(you did add the pillow)
Pages turning in the wind..well, to me that is life..moving..
This is actually a sad poem..again just my thinking here..
Maybe of a love lost..
Anyway, I really like it..

than you, Beckie,

dear Jacob... my thoughts exactly... Summer will be warm as June with strawberries... and July with Hot Beaches. Spring will blossom with Crocus and pale green leaves will tremble like a song... but for now.. we will see a flutter of Hearts and Valentines in February... and then in March... Leprechauns and the Luck of the Irish. Easter with Sacred Lillies and Rabbits... I love the Idea of plunging into Summer in our Mind. gently, Pat

What are you trying to convey, my friend? This one seems to drift by me like a strange dream. Images dart like penguins on an ice flow.
