frantic

frantic

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

frantic

the lynch mob

mentality of

   hyacinths

lassoing the sunlight,

the rain on the scaffolding indicating

prints through scalding water,

It is always so pretty,

just before the bloom snaps.

Wow, I will never look at a hyacinth in the same way again. I am wondering where your hyacinths live. On the ground or on your curtains?

Lassoing the sunlight, that is genius.
